Bridge Communities Associate Board

Our Associate Board is a group of emerging business and civic leaders that help create, promote, and grow the resources Bridge needs to serve families facing homelessness.

Membership in the Bridge Communities Associate Board will connect you with opportunities to increase your impact, grow your personal and professional networks, and have fun!

Bridge Communities is proud of how our program model brings a wide array of people together to build lasting, meaningful relationships.

As a part of our work, we are dedicated to expanding participation in our volunteer and donor bases to younger generations who will be our future leaders.

Associate Board members will make a difference in the lives of families as we help to break generational cycles of poverty and homelessness.

Members of the Bridge Communities Associate Board are highly regarded as Bridge representatives who:

  • Serve as ambassadors for Bridge Communities to civic, social and business communities to ignite passion and commitment to the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Promote fundraising initiatives that enable Bridge Communities to provide our client families the best support and care through wrap-around services that focus on the wellness of the entire family.

Meetings, Events, & Activities

Membership meetings are held four times per year, in January, April, August and November. Meetings will often include guest speakers and presentations from Bridge Communities friends, staff, former clients, and nonprofit specialists.

Between meetings (and/or in lieu of one meeting per year), the Associate Board is encouraged to meet for social and networking opportunities, which can serve to grow the Board and the donor and volunteer bases.

Annual Giving

Securing donations that support the needs of Bridge Communities is vitally important and ensures the ongoing development of current programs, retention of professional case managers and employment counselors, and generally supports the continuous improvement of client care.

The Associate Board’s focus on fundraising provides a solid foundation for the future of Bridge Communities.

Structure & Committee

The Bridge Communities Associate Board will be structured with a Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary, all of whom will serve two-year terms.

Three committees (Marketing/Social Media, Development/Events and Membership) will be led by committee chairs who serve one-year terms, renewable no more than three consecutive years.
