On November 2nd more than 1,000 children, teens and adults will spend the night sleeping outside in tents, boxes, or cars or doubled up inside their homes without a bed to call their own, all to raise awareness about family homelessness and funds for Bridge Communities' Transitional Housing Program.
Your help is needed now more than ever. With your help, Bridge Communities will transition over 100 families to self-sufficiency by working with community partners to provide mentoring, housing, and supportive services. Meet JJ my soon to be 2 year old grandson! His parents have decent living wage jobs and can provide a nice home and neighborhood for him. Tonight we have 99 families sleeping safely in our apartments. Some didn't renew leases because the rents have shot up. They had health issues or a car repair that sent them into a dark hole. They have been couch surfing, living in cars or hotels with not a way out. Due to your support they can rebuild their lives and achieve stable housing. Thank you for your ongoing support of my work!
